have announced the continuation of their partnership with New York artist . The joint venture, labelled NikeCraft, was put on hiatus after over 10 years in existence, due to that arose in 2023. The Beaverton camp then on working with Sachs, until now, with the official announcement of the partnership resuming in 2025 with the release of the .

‘I’m honored that we will continue to build together as a NikeCraft team and community,’ Sachs said in a statement provided by Nike. ‘The Mars Yard 3.0 is in its final stage of development and is currently being wear-tested. I’m excited to share more soon.’

Tom Sachs and Nike's partnership dates back to 2012, when they officially launched the Mars Yard shoe. However, the artist has been longtime friends with , former Nike CEO, with the duo even taking part in a story for Interview Magazine. Their collaboration continued in 2017 with the sequel , followed by 2019's . The and Mars Yard 3.0 had already been rumoured ahead of the , which was the final official release ahead of the hiatus that began mid-last year.

Allegations regarding Tom Sachs first surfaced in March 2023, following an exposé published by Curbed. The publication had spoken with over a dozen former employees who accused Sachs of creating a ‘destabilising’ and ‘scary’ workplace culture. Sachs issued a statement following the controversy, stating that ‘these past few months have been a time of overdue reflection’, and allegedly hired an outside party to help with his HR policies. Nike didn’t officially state that they were ending the partnership last year, however did issue a statement saying they were trying to better understand the situation and find out how the allegations were being addressed.

‘Tom has demonstrated and recommitted to fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity,’ Nike said on Monday in their confirmation. ‘We can confirm that our work with Tom will continue and this next chapter of NikeCraft will uphold our shared passion for team, product, and storytelling excellence. More details to come in 2025.’

No release dates have been set in stone as of yet, but expect the NikeCraft Mars Yard 3.0 to land next year, stay locked to keep updated!
