Update February 21, 2022: After months of waiting, the Nike Dunk High 1985 ‘Acid Wash Yellow' and ‘Acid Wash Orange' are almost here! They're dropping on February 23 and we've whipped up a Where to Buy guide for both colourways! Check the stockists out down below.
Back in August, two 1985 colourways touched down, and the unique combo wasn’t the only thing that had all intrigued. Taking the fan-favourite back to its roots, Team Swoosh employed the original Dunk High shape, making sense of the addition of 1985 to the name of the release. Following the and ‘Black Acid Wash’, official images have surfaced of new combos that are said to be coming soon.
Following OG proportions, the changes to the silhouette are an easy spot for eagle-eyed sneakerheads. The most obvious tweaks are on the ankle collar, which has been extended upwards, and the beefed up midsole. The ‘Acid Wash’ series gives off a vintage aesthetic that comes through via the pre-yellowing on the sole, artificial aged effect on the overlays and old school graphics on the shoe box.
The two new colourways boast similar makeups to August’s editions with the ‘Yellow Acid Wash’ rocking a mostly-black look with touches of neck-breaking yellow. The ‘Orange Acid Wash’ opts for a three-tone combo employing blue, cream and orange.
These fresh Nike Dunk High 1985 ‘Acid Wash’ colourways are sure to fly off shelves. Set to retail for approximately $130, a release date has yet to be scheduled but we’ll keep you updated if we hear anything.
