As Michael Jordan's alma mater, the University of North Carolina gets blessed with a GOAT-level lineup of player-exclusive sneakers. Tar Heels athletic programs from basketball to baseball and track get their own exclusive Jordan Brand kicks and apparel, but the UNC football team seems to be a favourite of the Jumpman – and they've just revealed a brand-new Air Jordan 6 PE for 2022.

Tar Heel powder blue, one of the most recognisable colours in all of college sports, coats the lion's share of the upper and is accented by pops of navy. There's plenty of special chenille branding to be had as well: both feet feature a large 'NC' graphic on the heel, while the throat overlays boast a #23 on the right foot and a Jumpman logo on the left foot. There's even a little 'NC' hit on the lace toggles! Midsoles are done up in white, with translucent detailing on the tongue, heel tab and outsole rounding off the look.

Between the revealing of these PEs and senior quarterback Sam Howell looking like he'll be a first-round pick in the upcoming NFL draft, it's been a fruitful offseason for Tar Heels football fans so far! These PEs will be limited to players, coaches and individuals associated with the team, but at least there's an Air Jordan 6 'UNC' set to see a general release in early March.
