The Union x Nike Field General Has Arrived
It’s becoming an annual tradition where directly after releases a collaboration, fresh leaks and rumours arrive of what the duo have coming.
Following the launch of the highly anticipated this week, insider sneaker sources have told that Chris Gibbs’s Union will be resurrecting the Field General in 2024.
The Field General originally released in 1982 as a turf shoe for football players, but hasn’t seen a retro in true OG form since its debut in the 80s. Nike did release the in 2014, a modernised boot that doesn’t bear any resemblance to the original, and a Hyperfuse version, which was the closest they came to recreating the earliest silhouette. Further back in 2012, there was also the ultra-high-top Pictured above is an OG pair from eBay.
So far, Union and Nike are yet to comment on their leaked collaboration, but according to the source, the Union x Nike Field General will be arriving in mid-2024.
