VERDY Appointed Creative Partner at HUMAN MADE

Does ever slow down? Hot off the back of teasing his and continuing to work on his collections (which included some fresh ), the designer looks to be revving up the machine again with another fresh staff announcement. You might remember that joined the company as an adviser earlier this year, but has been confirmed as the brand’s latest creative partner.

Taking to Instagram to make things official, the graphic artist simply captioned the post ‘Happy to announce my appointment as a Creative Partner at Human Made Inc. Thank you @nigo San’. A further comment on HUMAN MADE’s site reads ‘I’ve admired NIGO since I was a kid, and during our many projects together, he has inspired me countless times. NIGO’s commitment to the details of HUMAN MADE creations is astounding and a testament to his knowledge about other items—learned from looking at them, taking them in his hand and studying the smallest detail, such as the feel of the fabric and the stitch on the lining. As a brand that brings new ideas to life by those who appreciate the true value of an item, I look forward to exploring the possibilities of HUMAN MADE and sharing them with the world. It is an honour to be Creative Partner of HUMAN MADE. I am excited to see what the future holds for us.’

HUMAN MADE have shed some more light on what the appointment involves – the press release says that VERDY’s appointment 'aims to further enhance and sustain the value of HUMAN MADE.' It continues: 'His creativity and sensibility, which have driven his popularity in Tokyo’s streetwear scene, especially among the younger generation, will bring new energy into future creative projects to achieve the Company’s mission, “Born from creative inspiration, made with heart and humanity.”'

Those who are familiar with VERDY’s work will know his ‘’ and ‘Wasted Youth’ projects, as well as his characters Vick and Visty, who have recently served as the inspiration behind his latest colab. VERDY also has a long track record of working with both NIGO and Pharrell, having designed t-shirts for their co-produced album ‘I Know NIGO’ as well as collaborating on other KENZO and HUMAN MADE projects.
