Virgil Abloh’s Final Show: Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2022
The late, great, took to the stage of in 2018, and over the past few years has given the performance of a lifetime. Ever since his passing in November of 2021, everyone in or around the fashionsphere has on his inspirational legacy. His time at LV was especially monumental, seeing him break down barriers with inclusivity, bringing the street to high-fashion and high-fashion to the street.
In the months since his death, it's become clear how valued he was within the walls of the luxury house, following the memorial held in Miami, of the anticipated Louis Vuitton x and finally Abloh’s last runway show for Fall/Winter 2022, occurring on January 20.
Held at the Carreau du Temple in Paris and titled Louis Dreamhouse it saw the set feature a massive roof with attached chimney, long banquet table housing a live orchestra, giant steps which models descended and a large bed.
The clothing that graced the models was the last chance anyone will witness an offering mostly put together by Abloh. However the show itself didn’t seem to actually highlight the designs, instead was more a performance packed with meaning. Plenty of references were injected, nodding to previous work Abloh did for LV in his eight season run and on his time spent revolutionising the brand.

At the end of the Fall/Winter 2022 presentation, the staff at Louis Vuitton walked the runway and were greeted with a standing ovation while Tyler the Creator played in the background.
