Volley Australia Day Video
There's nothing quite as Oz as the humble Volley. It all started back in 1939 when international tennis Hall of Famer Adrain Quist forgot to pack his plimsolls for an overseas tournament. Quist borrowed a pair of yacht shoes from a helpful American and noticed that the herringbone outsole provided superb traction on the court. Upon his arrival home he fashioned a tennis shoe at the Dunlop Rubber Factory where he worked that replicated the boat shoe's grip and, hey presto, the Volley was born. A summer classic, here's a short vid to celebrate Australia Day, Volley style. Keep your eyes peeled because a change is about to come over this great Aussie icon...
