Update November 3, 2023: Official imagery has emerged of four new colourways of the Wales Bonner x adidas Samba. One of the versions is the red iteration teased in October, while the other three boast pony hair uppers.

The partnership between Grace Wales Bonner’s eponymous label and adidas has been fruitful, with the pair’s collaborative releases selling out with the quickness. Since kicking off their alliance, their signature Sambas with football flap and crochet detailing has pulled plenty of hype. The original black pair that arrived toward the tail-end of 2020 still commands a healthy four-figure price tag on the secondary market.

Now, legendary streetwear personality Bobby Hundreds has shared a never-before-seen colourway of the Wales Bonner x adidas Samba. Doused in a deep red, this pair hosts a mix of suede and synthetic fabrics with signature Wales Bonner crochet details, tongue flap and co-branding.

While adidas and Wales Bonner haven’t announced this pair as of yet, plenty of places have stated that these red Wales Bonner x adidas Sambas will touch down in 2023. Stay locked for updates.
