Watch The Throne: Ultra Rare Nike LeBron 9s Might Release
The year 2011 was marked by two significant events in music and sports that converged into one of the rarest sneakers ever. While and Jay-Z teamed up to release Watch The Throne, had settled into the Miami Heat with a slew of exclusive Player Editions of the then incumbent . The result of this cultural collision was another PE inspired by the album, and was never released publicly. However, that might be changing soon.
These official Nike images depict what appears to be a retro of the LeBron 9 in the same Watch The Throne livery as the original PE. This model had represented particular peak for the LeBron signature series, and its design has aged rather well in the decade since. Decorating this predominately black colourway is a vividly patterned lining and matching laces, which bind an extremely ornamental jagged gold lace jewel. In the event that there’s an impromptu game of street ball, these LeBrons will be ready, thanks to Flywire-reinforced uppers and Air Max heel cushioning that is still impressively high-performance to this day.
While nothing regarding a release is confirmed yet, these pics show a lot of promise. Fingers crossed.
