'We Were There' Air Max 90 Artist Retrospective

You know how we feel 'bout it – is up their with surrealism and expressionism and whatever-other-ism as one of the most important art forms in the history of the universe. The Whitaker Grp and artist Pel are on our wave length and are working on a bold project that serves as a tribute to the never-humble Nike Air Max 90. The images portray events and pop culture tidbits that have occurred over the last 25 years, including the royal weddings, the climax of Michael Jackson's grip on the pop throne, the rise of Google and more. We're previewing a tiny selection of our favourites above, but if you want to see the full series, look for it on Instagram as a daily artwork rollout begins on April 30 and concludes on May 14. That's when the whole series will be showcased on canvas at a launch event for the Nike Air Max 90 OG at A Ma Maniere in Atlanta.
