Where to Buy the BAPE x adidas Superstar 80s

A Bathing Ape have been in the sneaker headlines quite a lot recently, from their in-line sneakers to their collaborations, the fabled Japanese streetwear behemoth is beginning to dominate the zeitgeist once again. It may not be to the epic proportions of yesteryear, with an insane collection of colabs, but they’re definitely doing bits. After their recent love affair with New Balance and Gunna, BAPE have now settled with adidas, and the duo are creating some crafty creps.

Harking back to the early oughts, BAPE and Team Trefoil have decided to reimagine their first-ever collaboration from 2003. Using the Superstar 80s as the canvas, the whole upper has been doused in BAPE’s signature ABC Camo. Other specialised motifs include the BAPE STA logo adorning the right heel, and right side of each shoe. Gold ‘A Bathing Ape’ has been scripted on the lateral with matching lace dubraes. Epic tongue branding, camo covered box, off-white midsole, and the shell-toe make this colab special.

May 5 has been chosen as the release date for the BAPE x adidas Superstar 80s, however some retailers will be dropping them on May 8. While this pair won’t be as rare as the 2003 version, only a select few have announced their release plans.
