Where to Buy the Skepta x Nike Air Max Tailwind 5 ‘Chrome Blue’

Grime superstar Skepta has become well-known among sneakerheads for undertaking heater Nike Air Max colabs. He's dabbled with the Air Max 97, mismatched the Air Max 97/BW, crafted a cool Air Max Deluxe, and shocked us with the Shox TL.

Onto his next venture, Skepta has dived into the Air archives and pulled out the Air Max Tailwind 5, referencing elements from its Air Max Tailwind 5 Plus cohort – mainly the aggressive webbing that can be seen wrapped around the sides.

Rumours of this colab started circulating around 2019, however, we got our first look at the silhouette in an orange and black combo. Now, official word has come through and confirmed that we'll be receiving a 'Chrome Blue' colourway next month.

The crep has been covered in mostly black, with a contrasting chrome plate that wraps around each side and matches with the Swoosh. Blue plays a key role with an almost tie-dye pattern acting as the underlay. As you would expect, SK Air motifs have been scattered on the tongue and insole.

Now for the juicy release details: the Skepta x Nike Air Tailwind 5 'Chrome Blue' has been locked in to drop on April 2 in Asia Pacific, Europe, and Greater China. A matching tracksuit and bucket hat will also be arriving, so you can rock the whole look.
