New Yeezy GAP Engineered by Balenciaga Campaign Imagery is Here

Update September 1, 2022: While Kanye West may be commanding a lot of attention with his latest Instagram screen shot, which suggests that GAP is copying one of his t-shirts, a fresh and brutalist batch of imagery from the Yeezy GAP Engineered by Balenciaga collaboration has arrived! Shared sporadically over the past week via the @yeezy Instagram account, this visual campaign could indicate what to expect from the range in future.

Kanye West has continued to amaze with the sheer quantity of creative projects he can handle. He’s taken over the music industry, designed sell-out footwear and created his Donda empire. Recently, he blessed long-time Yeezy designer Steven Smith with a new role and now has focused his energy on his latest pop-up with GAP. It’s going down this week in Times Square!

Ye’s partnership with GAP was initially announced last year, which saw the artist create a debut collection of his own designs, including the infamous ‘Round Jacket’. It was in early 2022 when the announcement came through that the partnership would be extended with Balenciaga inducted into the crew. The new line was dubbed Yeezy GAP Engineered by Balenciaga.

In other related news, the Yeezy brand now has an official Instagram account, and their first post and story were to announce the upcoming activation in NYC this week. An eerie video was posted of two individuals engaging in a wordless transaction.

The Yeezy GAP pop-up will open its doors on July 21, from 10 AM–10 PM EST at 1514 Broadway.
