Former designer Cesar Idrobo has joined as the senior creative innovation manager. 'I look forward to making a positive impact in the footwear industry with such an avant-garde brand and exploring new horizons,’ Idrobo shared on LinkedIn. He joins fellow Yeezy alumnus who last year.

Cesar is renowned for his ability to fuse traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology – a skillset that has made him a highly sought-after figure in the footwear industry. Born in Colombia, Cesar discovered his passion for design early in life. His journey led him to the prestigious Pensole Footwear Design Academy, where he sharpened his expertise in shoemaking and industrial design, paving the way for a career with some of the biggest names in sneakers.

Idrobo made a significant leap in his career when he joined Yeezy as Head Pattern and Sample Maker. During his time at Yeezy, he contributed to some of the brand’s most iconic designs, including the Tactical Boot – his swan song in Calabasas – and the oversized Yeezy Slides famously worn by Ye in the ‘I Love It’ music video. Idrobo also lent his creative touch to Sunday Service footwear and apparel.

Beyond his tenure at Yeezy, Idrobo has collaborated with and SKIMS, as well as contributed to innovative projects at He remains deeply committed to mentorship, sharing his knowledge with aspiring designers and guiding the next generation of creatives.
