Update February 17, 2022: Yoon Ahn has taken to Instagram to share the very first full look at AMBUSH's upcoming Nike collaboration – her take on the Nike Air Adjust Force. As per the post, Ahn makes it clear that she is looking to bring back the "Y2K aesthetic" with this 90s hooper sneaker. The design is predominantly blacked out and accented with white Swooshes! Keep it locked to SF for upcoming details on this AMBUSH x Nike Air Adjust Force.
Yoon Ahn's continues to impress in the collaborative space in 2021, as the Tokyo-based label has been overhauling the in a variety of pastel colourways this year.
The self-taught designer is now taking to Instagram to tease her latest Swoosh collaboration, tapping in the long-dormant Air Adjust Force.
A vintage 90s hooper, the silhouette first hit shelves in 1996, and featured interchangeable FitWrap straps emblazoned in numerous collegiate colours. Teased during Ahn's most recent trip to Nike HQ, the silhouette has at this point been on hiatus for 20 years, and this situation is no doubt serving as a sight for hoopers' sore eyes.
Diverging significantly from her recent projects, the Air Adjust Force is rendered in neutral hues lionising the original design blueprints. Notably, the sole is constructed with grind rubbers, a recycling component central to Nike’s eco-conscious ‘Move to Zero’ mission.
While there’s no appearance of the FitWrap straps, we’ve got our fingers (and toes) crossed for another reveal over the coming weeks. There's been word on a release date yet.
