Yoon Ahn Teases ‘Chicago’-Inspired AMBUSH x Nike Air Force 1

Yoon Ahn’s AMBUSH has been giving a lot of love to Nike’s Air Force 1. At the end of last year, blue, green and yellow-Swooshed pairs affectionately dubbed the ‘Pickle Rick’ and ‘Sonic Blue’ were released, and as it turns out, there were more in the works. Recently, official images of the upcoming black and white iterations were unveiled, confirming that the AF-1 collaboration is set to continue. And with the pairs slated for an initial release in early March, Ahn has many wondering whether there’s something else in the pipeline – an AMBUSH-ified ‘Chicago’ Air Force 1.

As seen via the creative director’s Instagram account, Ahn has teased the now-famous heel shot of the unreleased colourway. Fans will recall that Ahn actually created ‘Chicago’ Dunks back in 2021 – sadly, they never saw a wider release despite many wishing they had. If past precedent is anything to go by, this latest situation could have a similar ending, or they could see an official drop.
