Anthony Calydon Previews a Rib Knit-Tongued adidas Superstar

First released to the public back in 1970, the has seen its fair share of interpretations over the years. Its latest comes straight out of Paris, where designer has been working with the Three Stripes on some ‘ST research and socks’.

Taking to Instagram to preview the project and accompanying editorial, Calydon shared a close-up look at his Shell Toe creations, which combine the vintage hooper’s classic aesthetic with the designer’s signature rib knit. Calydon previewed two colourways – a white/black version and an inverted black and white, both featuring matching rib knitted tongues with exposed stitched details. In addition, the designer also showed off two colourways of a freestanding sock-like structure, worn with the Superstars in the editorial.

So far it’s not clear if or when the Anthony Calydon x adidas Superstar and sock will release, but stay locked to Sneaker Freaker for more information as it comes in.
