The ASICS GEL-DS Trainer 14 Is Making its Grand Comeback

Originally launched in 2009, the has been resurrected from the archive to meet the ever-growing demands for vin-tech runners. Though the GEL-DS saw a slew of iterations since its 1995 debut, it wrapped up its run with the GEL-DS 26 a few years ago. The return of the Trainer 14 marks an exciting time for fans of the DuoSole tech and the 'Tai Chi Yellow' iteration is landing soon to celebrate.

The 2025 version features a balance between vintage and futuristic design, with the unique quarter mesh design, open mesh toe and most noticeably, the asymmetrical upper. Top-down, the laces lean to the medial side, a tilt which is mirrored by the glossy heel overlays. Low profile lovers will be pleased by the slim midsole, which doesn’t forego any underfoot comforts, bolstered with TRUSSTIC™ support and GEL cushioning.

As for the colourways releasing, ASICS are gunning for versatility with a hint of flair. The first is a dark grey and metallic palette that comes alive with bright yellow accents along the upper and outsole. Next is a lighter iteration with grey, white and blue, and the final is a rosy pink makeup with sparkling silver accents.
