JJJJound Retrace Their Steps On Two New Balance 993s

Justin Saunders’ minimalist design studio have been a pillar of the sneaker colab scene for some time now, though it initially flew under the radar in a slightly cultish, IYKYK way. Now, JJJJound are one of the most prolific partners in the industry, having worked with , , and over the past 12 months alone. For their next project, the moodboard-turned-design-studio is set to continue its long-term partnership with New Balance, retracing their steps slightly as they preview a inspired by one of their earlier projects.

Quietly teased in their latest lookbook, the JJJJound x New Balance 993 instantly evokes memories of the duo’s black and brown from 2022. The pair follows a similar format with murky mesh and suede uppers and dark overlays, although the brown shade appears to be a little lighter than that used on the aforementioned 990v3.
