Nike Revive the Archival 2001 Nike Air Superfly for 2025
low-profile styles have had a pretty successful run-out throughout 2024, and it looks like are wanting in on the action. Following in the footsteps of and and , the Swoosh have sifted through their back catalogue for their ultimate Y2K callback, and they may just have found it in the Nike .
Channelling the ultra-skinny aesthetics of nineties and early noughties, the 2001 Nike Air Superfly is a running-inspired silhouette that’s perfectly poised to reenter the zeitgeist. In fact, the Swoosh have even soft-launched the model’s return on a shoot with , who showed off the upcoming ‘Black/Silver’ colourway. So far three other versions are expected to hit the shelves – a ‘Triple Black’ and ‘Lab Green’ version have also surfaced, as well as a red colourway that could well be looking to challenge the Speedcat for pole position on the fashion circuit.
While the early 2000s was an experimental time in sneaker tech, the Nike Air Superfly kept things pretty simple, with a mostly leather build and perforated leather panels making up the upper, and an Air unit nestled in the midsole.
