WTAPS Do What They Do Best on the New Balance 998

Japanese streetwear legends don’t collaborate often, but when they do, they are sure to craft instant-sell-out bangers. Their is top tier, including revolutionary ventures, tangles with and some of the greatest ever created. The latest from the dons of Shibuya and the Boston brand is an that’s simple yet effective.

WTAPS never go over the top and instead stay in their lane of military-inspired apparel and accessories. They look especially to vintage US infantry uniforms, incorporating them into everyday wear. For their NB998, the entire upper has been cloaked in a classic grey-on-grey aesthetic, albeit a little lighter than what NB are known for. It wouldn’t be a WTAPS colab without a bit of khaki, and the rear heel hosts the green tone with ‘WTAPS VISUAL UPARMORED’ scripted across the lateral. Rounding things out is the WTAPS insole branding.

The latest WTAPS x New Balance 998 is set to land on November 15 globally through New Balance channels.
