Acribik Exude 80s Energy for Debut Saucony Azura ST ‘Tech Noir’ Colab
When you take a look through the webstore of German boutique Acribik, it’s pretty clear their product selection is tinged with throwbacks to bygone eras and aesthetics. Not afraid to hide their reverence for retro, they’ve condensed the hyper-stylised look of the 1980s, dubbed ‘Tech Noir’, into their debut collaboration with on the – another child of the decadent decade.
The black, neon blue and flamingo pink colourway almost demands thick, sustained synthesiser notes be played whenever possible, as wearing this colab is one step closer to entering a bizarro Bavarian Miami Vice set. However, hazy gradient treatment to the uppers more than makes up for the logistical lack of keyboard fuzz. Deep black suede and mesh rear quarters set a dark backdrop for the aforementioned ‘retrowave’ look – all that’s missing is a Blue Lagoon in tow. Instead, Acribik embroider their name on the 1988 Azura ST’s heels, a premium touch over the usual screen print or emboss.
