This adidas AdiZero Aruku Is Exclusive to Concepts
This year has witnessed a plethora of chunky-soled sneaks debut to the world, but none have been as enigmatic as the adidas AdiZero Aruku. Originally making waves in May ahead of the Olympics, the model was then seen on rapper Gunna when he sported a pair onstage at the WIRELESS festival. A release date is yet to be announced for this pair, but Concepts have just announced they’ll be dropping an exclusive colourway this weekend.
Concepts are kings of colabs but also play host to a plethora of exclusives that whet the appetite of the global sneaker elite. This Aruku is no exception and hosts an upper crafted of a gradient mesh base layer, with sunrise hits on the Three Stripes, outsole and tongue branding. A full-length SwirlFoam midsole remains, alongside fully reflective uppers.
Following an early look at this model, it was presumed to be the latest adidas super shoe due to a beefed up midsole and AdiZero branding; however, this is not the case as it's actually a performance inspired lifestyle shoe! The name itself is a dead giveaway, with ‘Aruku’ in Japanese meaning ‘to walk’.
This Concepts-exclusive adidas AdiZero Aruku is the first release the world will get of the new silhouette. A release date has been locked in for September 27 through the retailer’s brick-and-mortars and webstore.
