Gunna Helps Debut the adidas AdiZero Aruku
Running and performance footwear is experiencing a boom in popularity, especially as we draw closer to the in . In the lead up, brands have been debuting new silhouettes and tech at an unbridled pace, including fresh new running, basketball and even . There’s also been a swathe of lifestyle models that are themed around the Olympics or are taking inspiration from performance silhouettes, and are next to preview a model that straddles this line: the adiZero Aruku.
An early look at the adidas adiZero Aruku has surfaced via , and it hosts a mix of both old and new adidas DNA; however, while the beef-up model looks like a performance shoe, it’s actually a running-inspired lifestyle silhouette. The first giveaway that this isn’t a performance shoe is the name – ‘Aruku’ in Japanese means ‘to walk’, which would be a weird thing to call a running model. Additionally, the midsole doesn’t host any tech details and instead rocks the brand new Swirlfoam, whereas the upper has been crafted with mesh alongside added TPU overlays.
