Before was causing riots, Forest Hills sneaker was king of the court. First issued in the 70s, the sneaker was named after the US open location in Queens, New York.
Features like its 246-gram cupsole were years ahead of its time and the sneaker soon gained cult status in the UK. Its contribution to British casual culture was acknowledged in the 2009 film Away Days, and pairs hits stores again in 2011. The sneaker has been laying low since then, but adidas Originals have just reissued it.
This ‘Metallic Gold’ colourway is true to the last retro, and largely similar to the 70s version with bright yellows outsole and white leather.
