The adidas Campus 00s Goes Chunky

Update September 5, 2022: The adidas Campus 00s originally landed with a direct drop at adidas, but you can now shop both the grey and Ambient Sky colourways at a handful of other retailers. The Amber Tint is also available to shop now via adidas UK.
With Y2K style in full swing, are determined to prove that it’s not just a phase (mum) by releasing the 00s, a reimagining of the classic court shoe for the new (but now old) millennium. With plenty of junk in the trunk, this is a phat three-striper.
To make this shoe a reality, Adi had to cut its life into pieces and put them back together with much more padding. In a way, it’s evocative of the puffy skate shoes from the era, evident by the squishy tongue and stout stance. Even the laces go double-wide over the regular specification. Thankfully, the brand has done well not to descend into parody and avoid the balloon-like proportions that some of the more ironic fashion brands have delivered lately.
The enlarged proportions have also allowed adidas to display larger logos on key areas, namely big Trefoils on the heel tab and tongue. On the colourway front, tonal grey and light blue editions are actually nice nods to OG 1980s palettes that have aged very well. There is a slight vintage touch via the off-white midsoles, replicating the passage of time.
The Campus 00s are available now directly from adidas.
