The adidas Centennial Gets in the College Basketball Spirit

After dressing a range of styles including the Forum Low and in collegiate basketball colours, Basketball are now taking the competition to the Centennial RM. The collection includes a whopping ten schools, including Arizona State, Grambling State, Indiana University, North Carolina State University, Texas A&M University, University of Kansas, University of Louisville, University of Miami, University of Nebraska, and University of Washington.

To bring the Centennial from the 80s and into 2024, adidas have given the upper of the 80s basketball model a modern upgrade to make it more sporty and comfortable. Although the Centennial can also come in suede variants, all the college iterations in the collection are made completely from leather. Each pair comes in a surprisingly wearable colourway, with the school’s colours tastefully added mainly across the upper. The midsoles on all of the iterations are white, but the outsole does get to shine with a pop of one of the college’s key colours. The signature hues aren’t the only branding for the universities though, as the tongues feature the logos on the tongues and their full name on the insole.
