NBA All-Star Weekend is finally upon us, and Salt Lake City will be playing host to all kinds of sneaker heat across the three-day event.
If you need something fresh for your rotation, are cooking up a Los Angeles colourway of their cult classic the model set to arrive this week.
Formerly known as the Kobe 1, the silhouette initially landed in 2000. Designed by veteran Eric Avar (who had previously worked with ), the sneaker is still recognised for its polarising, futuristic design, famously modelled on the Audi TT Roadster sports car.
Manufactured with moulded foam uppers and a distinctive ‘shield’ wrapped around its heel, the Crazy 1 incorporates thick, herringbone outsoles and adiPRENE+ technology for shock absorption and cushioning.
One of the boldest performance sneakers of the 21st century, the model took a brief hiatus in 2003, before re-releasing in 2013 to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
