Brown shoes have always been considered a bit daggy, but some brands proudly lean into this palette and prove that these dirt tones can sometimes be a bit of a dark horse. Enter the CSG 91 , exhibiting some proper cool details straight outta Brown Town.
The EQT CSG 91 is a remixed hybrid of legendary adidas Equipment models in the Cushion, Support and Guidance. While the series is best associated with the proprietary adi shade ‘Sub Green’, this version goes full ‘Chocolate Rain’ and uses varying shades of brown nubuck and leather across its upper. The palette is kept dark with further additions of black neoprene on the tongue and a matching midsole, but the iconic green does make a cameo on the forefoot strip, eyelet loops and dubrae. Of course, with GORE-TEX in its product name, the waterproof-breathable membrane lines the entirety of the innards, ensuring not a drop of liquid makes its way inside. Expect it to just bead off the outside too, thanks to DWR treatment.
