adidas Football Celebrates 70 Years With the Copa70

To mark the 70th anniversary of their football division,  are releasing a special-edition boot and . Dubbed the Copa70, the all-new silhouette breathes new life into the fan-favourite boot, which released back in 1982.

The kangaroo leather of the OG cleat is replaced with a modern PrimeKnit upper for improved breathability and fit, while leather lining and blue branding on the tongue hark back to the good old days. Taking the cleat to the street, adidas have infused a classic gum sole to the TR (lifestyle) version.

The aesthetic of the revamped Copa may take some time to get used to, but with world class players such as Paulo Dybala lacing ‘em up, we suspect the new model to have a strong influence from Serie A to the sidewalks.
