Terrace shoes – especially those from adidas – may be perpetually popular in pockets of the world, but they’ve reentered another echelon of consciousness thanks to recent high-profile collaborations from the likes of Wales Bonner and Gucci. The latter recently elevated the Gazelle Indoor to high fashion status with an equally tall price tag. Thankfully, adi have followed through with some inline editions of this model that have just as much style for a much more palatable RRP.

The Gazelle Indoor, as its name suggests, is a variant of the Gazelle training shoe modified for indoor use. This is evident in the substantial gum rubber sole designed for slick timber flooring, whereby its tread displays the original adidas Trefoil logo alternating with circular pivot points. Of course, it’s still as capable for its more likely use case in urban settings.

Besides the different sole, the Gazelle Indoor is true to its original 1979 form and naturally has many similarities to its more common sibling. The uppers are all suede – this time arriving in classic black, blue and red – with contrasting white stripes. Goldfoil branding on the lateral side returns, as does the tongue and heel Trefoils.

The Gazelle Indoor will be available directly from adidas on July 15.
