adidas Launch FW18 SPEZIAL Collection With Punstock SPZL

is back! Gary Aspden and his team of intrepid  archivists have wound back the clock once again to breathe new life into – and take inspiration for new models from – some of the most obscure and overlooked styles in Three Stripes history. This season's collection has been dubbed 'Acid Winter' and celebrates the 30th anniversary of Acid House and the current rise of sound system raves in the north of the U.K.

The first model to be revealed is the Punstock SPZL — a new addition to the SPEZIAL Leisure shoe family. The Punstock SPZL's design origins lie in a little-known Freizeit model from 1984 called the Long Beach, as evidenced by its shared Trefoil eye stay design and its stripe detailing. The classic Hawaii sole tooling provides a solid foundation for this new hybrid.

Like all SPEZIAL releases, attention to detail on the Punstock SPZL is second to none (SPEZIAL branded lining inside the shoe makes a nice touch) and the quality is top notch.

Drop 1 of the adidas SPEZIAL 'Acid Winter' FW18 Collection is slated for release on September 7 through select top-tier adidas stockists.
