Green is Great on the adidas Samba
For anyone reading that doesn’t have a pair of yet, here’s a chance to own something a little different to the NPC clones. This edition maintains the OG configuration of white and grey atop brown gum, but swaps in green stripes in place of the regular black.
There’s no reason for adidas to change the standard leather upper with suede toe cap as it works so well – as recently demonstrated by one SF writer’s of the Samba. The Three Stripe brand has also kept the tongue Trefoil branding in the classic blue shade as a tasteful point of contrast. However, as mentioned, the main accent here is the stripes sewn on the sides of the shoe and heel tab that are dipped in verdant green. The brown gum rubber sole remains grippy and durable as ever.
The green-striped Samba is available now directly from adidas. Expect to see these on moodboards everywhere.
