As you are no doubt aware, Gary Aspden and his intrepid team of historians are bringing back the Munchen Super as part of upcoming 'Acid Winter' FW18 Collection — but Gary wasn't content with only releasing a . In addition, Gary and his team are also treating us to a 1:1 replica of the OG Munchen Super in the classic adidas colour combination of sapphire blue and white, based directly on a model sourced from the adidas archives.

Similar to the lime green version we , this blue iteration comes complete with classic adidas branding on the tongue and matching blue herringbone plug in the sole — one of the few times a coloured plug has ever been used on the model. This SPEZIAL version of the Munchen Super features an added heel guard and a foxing graduation that varies between 18mm and 30mm. For an added touch of authenticity, the Munchen Super SPZL also comes with a second set of vintage-style laces as a throwback the OG Gazelles of the late 80s.

The Munchen Super SPZL will release in both 'Blue' and 'Lime Green' colourways as part of Drop 1 of the adidas SPEZIAL ‘Acid Winter’ FW18 Collection, which is slated for release on September 7 through select top-tier adidas stockists.
