UPDATE: The ' Chinese New Year  has just appeared at another German retailer. The composition recognises the year of the rooster with an embroidered depiction of the early riser on the heel, and glossy black leather coupled with a bone-white midsole. The gets some special embellishment to celebrate Chinese New Year. The low-top classic gets made up in ‘Core Black’ leather atop a ‘Chalk White’ sole. It seems like pretty standard fare until you see the tail end. Much like the celestial rooster that inspires the colourway, the Stan Smith features faux plumage on the heel panel. Continuing the thematic adornment, a multi-colour rooster is also embroidered on the heel.
