Get Your Skates On: adidas Have Transformed the Superstar into Roller Skates

When thinking about the , one might think about its basketball heritage, the recent swanky remodels into dress shoes, the slew of pop culture iterations, and maybe even its breakdancing credentials. What doesn’t come to mind though is roller skating, but alas the Three Stripes are adding four wheels and a stopper to the Superstar. It’s not adidas’ first derby though, having attached skates to many of their other classics like the Forum 84, Orion and – there’s even a fan page for adi skates on Facebook!

The actual model sitting on top of the skates is the high-rise Superstar Pro Model, making for better comfort and stability than the more classic low-rise. The rollers will come in not one but four groovy colorways: black, white, pink, and metallic silver (there’s no image of the white pair yet). Despite the changes in base colour, black remains a constant on the shell toe, laces, branding, and midsole. Also on all variations is the black skates with adidas branding following the wheel around and featuring the iconic Trefoil logo.
