The adidas Tyshawn II Drops This Week in ‘Triple Black’
Skateboarding just got even more stylish with the release of the second Tyshawn II colourway. Following up the that dropped in June is this ‘Triple Black’ edition that makes for an ultra-versatile and stealthy addition to any skate shoe rotation.
At only 25 years old, it feels a bit odd to call Tyshawn Jones a skateboarding legend, but that indeed is what he’s already considered in skate culture thanks to his jaw-dropping bag of tricks. Not just anyone is tré flipping across a NYC subway platform. Now with a second signature shoe under his belt – well, third if you count the mid and low versions of the Tyshawn I – Jones is adding another major chapter to his sneaker legacy.
This new blacked-out colourway for the adidas Tyshawn II is said to draw inspiration from sports heritage, the adidas archives, and Jones’s own personal style. The design features a soft black leather upper with gold foil branding for the Trefoil logo on the tongue and ‘TYSHAWN’ text on the lateral side above the tonal Three Stripes. The upper is nothing but Core Black, but you do get some subtle colour hits on the durable cupsole in Collegiate Green, maroon, and gum that may call to mind the signature hues of a certain Italian fashion brand.
Already available in Europe, the Tyshawn II ‘Triple Black’ from adidas Skateboarding drops July 5th in the USA via adidas.com and select adidas retailers and skate shops. Retail price is set at $100 USD.
