adidas Yeezy BOOST 650 V1
UPDATE: Derided by the likes of Yeezy Mafia as being an 'outdated' and 'abandoned' endeavour, this mysterious pink mid-cut Yeezy has surfaced once again, this time in the hands of one of Instagram's most notorious . The photographer has made no comment on the shoe itself – except for the addition of a #yeezy650 hashtag – but has a track record for previewing sneakers months ahead of their release with a near flawless hit rate.
At this stage, adidas are yet to officially comment on a release, but we'll be sure to keep you updated when more info rolls in.
While dozens of fakes and questionable customs filter through sneaker channels every day, it’s rare that a prototype makes its way out of grasp after being shelved in the design process – but that appears to be the case here.
The shoes appeared, as usual, on a sneaker leaker’s Instagram and have been labelled the Yeezy 650 v1. Characterised by a raised collar, the new model looks to be a natural graduation of the 350 v2. The tooling is the same, and the v2’s midsole seems to be reused, although a portion of the heel comes in a darker tint. Before you get your hopes up about a new Yeezy, it should be noted that Yeezy aficionados have already claimed the shoe to be a discontinued idea that won't be hitting retailers.
