Aim for the ballaholic x ASICS GEL-Quantum 180
Japanese streetball-wear label ballaholic have teamed up with for a casual take on the lifestyle model. Featuring a retro colourway and modern comfort construction, this is a colab that feels as good as it looks. Interestingly, this deviates from their previous basketball-focused colabs with ASICS on the performance Glide Nova FF and archive GEL-PTG styles.
The palette of blue, green, grey and yellow may look , but ballaholic literally leave their mark on this GEL-Quantum 180 to make it their own output. A combination of mesh underlays and welded uppers are contemporary design touches, while stitched suede caps at the toe bumper and heel counter provide pure analogue feedback and physical protection.
ASICS’ defining GEL cushioning technology is focused into the rear half of the midsole for impact protection and a comfortable ride, paired to a blocky foam slab. The outsole is shaded yellow to anchor the colourway, matching up to shoelaces and the stamped ballaholic branding on the heel counter. Other custom finishing touches include co-branded printed insoles.
The ballaholic x ASICS GEL-Quantum 180 is currently available in select Japanese retailers, but an international release is primed for March 24 directly from the ASICS webstore.
