Aimé Leon Dore’s seasonal lookbooks are known to hold secret easter eggs, especially on-foot where they usually soft launch their collaborative endeavours with New Balance. For their Fall/Winter 2024 catalogue, ALD have enlisted New Jersey rapper Mach-Hommy, who's donning a GORE-TEX jacket while wearing the latest colab. On-foot are two colourways of the 997. The first hosts a green and maroon and an olive-green build with a second tonal grey iteration arriving second.
The New Balance 997 has experienced somewhat of a revival this year after an unofficial hiatus. Back in 2019, when Aimé Leon Dore released their first linkup was the last time the silhouette was regularly on shelves.
