The Next Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance Collaboration Hits the 1906R

The switch-up of technical running sneakers from the 2000s to casual sneakers is a welcome one, as sneakers such as the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 and ASICS Gel-Kayano 14 bring style without sacrificing comfort. New Balance have their own in the 1906R, which is set to get a timeless rework in the coming months thanks to long-time collaborator Aimé Leon Dore.​

Cream mesh covers the upper with synthetic overlays seen in forest and jade green with subtle gold accenting. ALD’s floral crest is seen on the tongue, with the N logo on the quarter panels seen with gold trim. Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance co-branding appears on the insole, with the white ACTEVA LITE midsole providing comfort with additional ABZORB SBS cushioning in the heel, seen in jade green. Lastly, a grey and black rubber outsole finishes off the sneaker.

The Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 1906R is set to drop on May 4, 2023, via New Balance’s and Aimé Leon Dore’s channels, retailing for $170.
