Don't Miss Aimé Leon Dore’s New Balance 475 Collaboration
The only way to describe the partnership between and is with the handshake emoji. This dynamic duo have been working together for a number of years, with ALD’s even acting as the head of the MADE in USA line. NB regularly use the New York brand to debut fresh silhouettes and reinvigorate models from the Boston archive, such as the latest 475 collaboration.
Aimé León Dore’s New Balance 475 was originally teased by Santis himself earlier this year, and now official imagery has emerged showing two iterations. The highlight is a classic ALD build, with a tonal cream and grey upper accented by bold green, whereas the second variation opts for a navy and red combo alongside subtle yellow and grey hits. Premium suede and leather dominate the uppers, alongside mesh and embroidered ’N’ logos along the lateral and medial.
We don’t blame you if you’re unfamiliar with this silhouette, as it’s an obscure gem from the years gone by that’s had a subtle resurgence in the form of GR colourways and yet-to-drop collaborations. Originally releasing in 1986, the 475 was once a distance runner but has since circled back onto shelves for the lifestyle market. Other than this colab, also revealed their own venture back in June, with the iteration kitted out in their signature dusty hues.
A release date hasn’t been revealed as of yet, but with official imagery out, expect a drop before the end of this year.
