This New Balance 990v4 Could be Exclusive to Aimé Leon Dore

In 2024, Aimé Leon Dore and Teddy Santis are still closely associated with New Balance. Santis has maintained his position as the creative director for MADE in USA, while his streetwear brand ALD continue to push out collaborations and craft exclusive colourways. Following an SMU New Balance 990v6, which arrived in February, leaks have emerged stating that an NB990v4 will follow.

It’s unclear whether this is an official collaboration; however, with the lack of branding, we suspect it’s just a special makeup unit that's exclusively releasing through ALD. Nevertheless, New Balance didn’t skimp when it came to these bad boys, with the uppers coming through in classic MADE in USA style, kitted with mesh and premium suede. Royal blue sets the tone, as most of the shoe is ensconced in the deep hue, and the design is rounded out with a complementary yellowed outsole and silver side branding.
