Aimé Leon Dore Revisit Their NB997 OG Mismatch
The sneaker colab game may be a fickle business, but the partnership between and is one for the ages. The duo first joined forces in 2019 and have produced some seriously sought-after projects since then, spanning silhouettes like the , , and to name just a few. Now, Teddy Santis’s Queens-born outfitter is teaming up with the Boston brand once again to revisit the model that started it all, the .
Paying homage to their first link-up, the duo have once again readied the silhouette in its mismatched colour scheme. The pair kicks off with a tonal grey base – its mesh toe box is off-white, while the suede overlays are arranged in a selection of stormy hues. Working upwards, each shoe is split between the two colour schemes: one boasts a teal and pink collar, with a pink tongue and navy heel detail, while the other features a pink and purple collar, yellow tongue and forest green heel detail. The materials appear to be slightly different to the OG, with a grainy leather used for some of the colourful detailing.
Aimé Leon Dore have confirmed that the ALD x New Balance 997 OG ‘Mismatch’ will drop online and at their retail outlets on November 29, with the release scheduled for 11am EST.
