The Air Jordan 1 KO debuted alongside its regular Air Jordan 1 sibling in the mid-80s, with the ‘KO’ at the end of its name standing for ‘knockoff’, as it was marketed as a cheaper and more accessible version of the AJ1. While never a fan-favourite, the Air Jordan 1 KO has still experienced plenty of love throughout the 2020s, having taken part in collaborations with Billie Eilish and Union. Usually adorned in full-canvas uppers, Jordan Brand are shaking things up for their latest, decking out the AJ1 KO in satin.

Officially named ‘Field Purple’, this luxe iteration won’t be the first model Jordan Brand has doused in satin fabrics, there has been iconic colourways like the ‘Shattered Backboard’ and ‘Bred’ draped in the fabric too. Taking on an opulent feel, the ‘Field Purple’ has been covered in mostly black with hectic hints of the namesake tone. The wings logo is in its usual spot, boasting the specialised Air Jordan 1 KO branding.
