A Side of Snakeskin is Served With These Air Jordan 1 Lows
are continuing to find creative ways to deliver new variations of their popular . They’ve been doing this through a combination of different colourways, thematic expressions and material modifications. This upcoming edition is an example of the latter, as faux snakeskin textures slither their way onto key areas of the upper.
From a distance, these simply look like a green, black and white AJ1 Low. However, a closer look at the toe box, ankle collar and heel counter reveals that the aforementioned snake texture has been embossed into these areas. The effect is rather tactile and contrasts nicely against the smooth leather areas found on the rest of the shoe. This is particularly noticed on the toe, which is bordered by black leather on one side, and padded nylon on the tongue, not to mention the woven laces too.
Other textural areas include the literal star studded toe trim on the outsole, plus the raised Wings logos on the heel counters. There’s a lot to touch – as a sales assistant was once heard saying, ‘Look with your hands.’
Interested parties will be able to do so on April 14 when these Air Jordan 1 Lows are expected to land.
