Year of the Snake celebrations are in full swing, with the highlights being the and that’ve already been primed to drop. Now it’s been announced that another is set to join the party, and it’s been dubbed ‘Xuanwu’. This iteration is set to be the most premium in the already luxe collection, with only 3399 pairs getting made and an elevated price point to match.

The name ‘Xuanwu’ derives from a Chinese mythological creature and Taoist deity that is usually depicted as a tortoise and snake. A white leather base has been laid down, making way for the snakeskin that adorns the forefoot and collar. The heel, Swoosh and Wings logo have been wrapped in a solid textured themed material, adding to the specialised Lunar New Year vibes. Completing the AJ1 ‘Xuanwu’ are the premium rope laces and opulent gold embellished box and dust bag.
