On-Foot Look at the Air Jordan 1 ‘Yellow Toe’
Thirty-seven years after it first took flight in 1985, the is still soaring, thanks to the enduring popularity of its OG colourways and the warm reception to new makeups like the ‘Yellow Toe.’ Mixing classic style with a fresh colour scheme, the ‘Yellow Toe’ borrows its colour placement from 2018’s but adds a sizable scoop of saffron shades to differentiate itself from any prior drops. Now, well ahead of its reported August drop, we’ve been given an on-foot look via .
As you’d hope from a shoe nicknamed ‘Yellow Toe,’ this new version of first signature sneaker does indeed feature a yellow toebox. That’s not the only use of yellow, though, as it also appears on the heel, collar flaps and tongue tag. The rest of the leather upper uses either white or black shades, while a black nylon tongue, black laces, white midsoles and yellow outsoles round off the look.
If the Air Jordan 1 ‘Yellow Toe’ gives you a bit of deja vu, you needn’t worry – it’s very similar to a special that was created for Shinedown guitarist Zach Myers and inspired by the band’s 2018 album of the same name. However, unlike the ‘Attention Attention’ PE, the ‘Yellow Toe’ will be available for general purchase when it hits stores on August 13. Its MSRP is set at $170.
