This Air Jordan 11 CMFT Low Recalls Red ‘Win Like 96’ Combo
The CMFT Low is a contemporary lifestyle-slash-performance update of the legendary Air Jordan 11, and its retro-ish stylings have brought some fan favourite colourways along for the ride. Having already peeped a remake, this all-red edition bears a striking nod to the release from 2017.
Many elements from the original AJ11 are retained for the new CMFT update. The model’s big patent leather mudguard gets even larger as it wraps further up the toe and sides, engulfing the leather and ballistic nylon rear quarter. Underfoot, the familiar herringbone traction is retained, as is the iced-out finish, but this time the midsole is updated to feature newer Zoom Air technology to maintain a lower profile and less weight.
On the colourway front, this all-red upper certainly channels the ‘Win Like 96’ colourway that featured on the original AJ11 in 2017. This palette was born in an era where red ruled the roost, and the official story at the time was that it was inspired by the Bulls’ main hue. That isn’t officially acknowledged on the CMFT, but the similarity is glaringly clear.
While this Air Jordan 11 Low CMFT isn’t yet available Stateside, sneakerheads in Australia can buy them right now directly from Nike.
