Jordan Brand releases are pushing the boundaries of creativity and style in 2023, but you can’t go wrong with an OG in the Air Jordan 12 ‘Cherry’. The simple and elegant sneaker returns in its original white and red form, appeasing OG sneakerheads while introducing a classic to a new generation.

Originally released in 1997, the Tinker Hatfield-designed sneaker was worn by MJ during the 1996-1997 NBA season, and he debuted the ‘Cherry’ colourway in the season opener against the Boston Celtics. The sneaker will forever be synonymous with the Bulls’s black pinstripe jerseys of the 90s, as Jordan would pair the Cherry 12s everytime they stepped out in the alternate uniforms that season.

The simple yet eye-catching iteration has a supple white leather base with a pop of colour on the ‘Cherry Red’ overlays. The sneaker also introduced new Jordan logos and branding, with ‘TWO 3’ stitched down the tongue and the Jordan jock tag used on the rear pull tab. The AJ12 was the first Air Jordan to feature full-length Zoom Air, and the sneaker can still perform with the best on the hardwood over a quarter century later. It’s no wonder why the Air Jordan 12 ‘Cherry’ has stood the test of time.

The Air Jordan 12 ‘Cherry’ is set to drop on November 16, 2023 via JD Sports. Hit the link below to pick up an all-time classic.
